Day 1 · Tuesday, July 14

Travel Day

  • Depart Parowan for Wyoming
  • Camp setup at Sixth Crossing Campgrounds
  • Evening: Square dancing
  • Check-in hours: 1pm – 8pm
  • Quiet hours begin at 10pm
Day 2 · Wednesday, July 15

Martin's Cove / Sweetwater River Crossing

  • Trek to Martin's Cove
  • Sweetwater River Crossing experience
  • Trek starts at 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m.
Day 3 · Thursday, July 16

Sixth Crossing Trek (Women's Pull)

  • Women's Pull experience at the Sweetwater River Crossing
  • Commemorates the rescue of October 19, 1856
  • Devotional at Sixth Crossing
  • Trek starts at 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.

Day 4 · Friday, July 17

Rocky Ridge Trek

  • Handcart pull across Rocky Ridge trail
  • Historical context: Martin Company crossed Rocky Ridge in a blizzard, October 23, 1856
  • Trek starts at 8:00 a.m.
Day 5 · Saturday, July 18

Rock Creek Hollow — Closing & Return

  • Final trek to Rock Creek Hollow
  • Closing testimony meeting
  • Return home to Parowan

Trailhead Logistics

Start Times

Trek start times vary by day. Arrive at the trailhead 45 minutes before your designated start time.

Heat Safety

On trail by 6:00 AM, off trail by 2:00 PM. Each handcart carries 5 gallons water + 5 gallons electrolyte. Hydrate before you feel thirsty.
